ARRIVING BY CAR
Travelling by car couldn’t be easier. Upton Country Park is three miles northwest of Poole Town Centre, clearly signposted from the A35. Please note that the slip road off the A35 will be closed. Please follow the signs in the local area directing diverted traffic to our car parks.
If you’re using a satellite navigation system, the following address should be used:
There is a modest £4 fee to park for the evening in one of our three concert car parks. The fee goes to the Upton Country Park Estate, helping to maintain the site for year-round recreation and visits. A small part of the charge helps to fund our friendly on-site parking marshals who are on hand to help customers. Please buy your £4 parking ticket online and place it on your dashboard.
Ample prepaid parking car parking for concert visitors can be found at this venue. Vehicles should not be left overnight in the car parks as this will incur a further charge. Please be advised that some of the parking is on grass and therefore suitable footwear is advised. There is a short walk from the car park to our concert arena over a small distance. Please see our disability section if you need assistance. Annual Upton Park Parking Ticket holders can park without a charge.
Blue Badge Holders are invited to park in our reserved disabled car park, near the concert arena on a hard surface. The same £4 charge applies and Blue Badge holders must ensure that they have their permits on display in their vehicle windows. Vehicles without permits will be directed into the main car park. If you need assistance parking and you are not a Blue Badge Holder, please email [email protected]. Parking tickets can be purchased via this website.
Please see our accessibility section if you need any further assistance. All cars parked at owners risk.
Morebus service Nos 8 & 9 stop at both the main Park entrance (just a few minutes walk to the House) and Blandford Road entrance – timetables at morebus.co.uk
First Group operate a No X54 service between Weymouth and Poole that stops at Upton Crossroads (Dorchester Road) – timetable at firstgroup.com
Morebus service No 10 and the Purbeck Breezer Route 40 also stop at Upton Crossroads.
TAXI & DROP OFF
Taxi drop off/pick up will be located in the main car park of Upton Country Park. Customers can then use the main concert entrance. For pick up, taxis will meet customers at the same location.
If you are arriving by taxi or being dropped off, make sure you have made arrangements for your return journey in advance as many taxi companies will be busy on a Friday and Saturday night. In addition, our venues do not have public telephones and sites may have poor mobile reception. Arrange to meet your taxi at the designated taxi drop off/pick up point.
Please be aware that if you’re using a satellite navigation system, the following address should be used: Upton Country Park, Poole Road, Upton, Poole, BH17 7BJ
There is an off-road cycle route to the Park from Poole Railway Station via Holes Bay, which takes approximately 15-20 minutes to ride. Walking this route will take approximately 50 minutes. If you are walking to the venue along the public road, please be aware that it will be dark when you leave. For your safety you may like to consider bringing a torch and hi-vis vest for your journey home.
Sadly, we have no camping facilities on site. Poole and the surrounding area have a number of camp, motorhome and caravan sites all within a short distance from the venue.
There are plenty B & B’s and guesthouses in and around Poole, which is a popular south coast resort. The concerts run at the end of June, so please be mindful these dates lie within a busy holiday season. Please contact the nearest Dorset Tourist Information Centre for full details of local accommodation.
